Prerequisites
A perfect knowledge of German and Czech is inevitable to pass this course, therefore is all information about it in German or Czech only.

Course objectives
Introduction to the theoretical principles of web-based foreign language learning and their practical implementation in the classroom. Discussion of the use of modern technologies in foreign language teaching.
Learning outcomes
Students will search for and evaluate important Internet addresses and portals, analyse and practically use various learning platforms and test web-based forms of practice. They will also get to know and evaluate auxiliary programmes, language learning programmes and additional practice material.

  • Criteria for the evaluation of learning platforms,
  • Getting to know auxiliary programmes, language learning programmes and additional practice material,
  • web-based writing in the foreign language classroom.

Teaching methods
Presentation, practical analysis of sources available on the Internet, homework, discussion.
Assessment methods
Independent analysis of internet-based sources and their presentation in class.
Attendance in class.
A seminar paper must be handed in for colloquium.
Náhradní absolvování
Students on mobility abroad are advised not to enrol in this course as active participation is a prerequisite for positive completion. Possible recognition of the course (for a course at the host university) should be discussed with the lecturer before the start of the semester.
