Course objectives
The aim of this course is to provide students with essential knowledge about twice-exceptionality as a combination of giftedness and special educational needs. The course will cover different combinations of twice-exceptional students, their specific educational needs, and the opportunities and challenges they face in the educational process. Students will be introduced to the basics of assessment and intervention, as well as current support measures available in inclusive school environments. Special attention will be given to the role of multidisciplinary collaboration, including the position of special educators, in supporting the education of twice-exceptional pupils.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will: - Possess essential knowledge about the twice-exceptionality, - Possess elementary knowledge on the combinations of twice-exceptionality, - Be introduced into the educational needs of twice-exceptional students, - Will be aware of opportunities and challenges in education of twice-exceptional pupils, - Have an overview of current support options in inclusive school environment.

Teaching methods
The course will be delivered via an interactive syllabus on the IS course platform. Students will be required to complete ongoing assignments for each of the five chapters, based on self-study from the assigned literature. They will share their conclusions in a discussion forum and actively comment on the assignments of other participants. Additionally, students will be required to complete ongoing tests and prepare and present a final group project—a presentation on a given topic.
Assessment methods
Submitting five individual assignments to the discussion forum and actively responding to the assignments of other course participants. Successfully completing five ongoing tests. Delivering a final group presentation on a given topic (online in the last week of the semester).
