Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the concept of inclusive approaches to the education of children at risk or with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD). Upon successful completion, students should be able to grasp the issue in terms of the development of EBD and should also be able to analyze its impact on the life and future perspectives of the child and his/her surroundings.

Syllabus
  • Special needs (and inclusive) education. Education of children with emotional and behavioral disorders. The inclusive approach.
  • Emotion and behavior disorder (EBD) and its dynamics.
  • Definition of EBD in the context of quality of life of the child.
  • EBD and its consequences - special educational needs.
  • Support within school environment. Individual and systemic support and strengthening (resiliency) the child.
  • The system of school facilities of institutional education and preventive educational care.
