The course is suitable for beginners and intermediate video creators. The course is primarily intended for students of teaching fields.

Course objectives
The subject aims at theoretical knowledge in the field of educational multimedia creation and at practical skills in the process of creating educational audiovisual materials. We will present the results of research in the field and related principles, and we will pass on the practical experience of people in practice. Students will go through the entire creation process (pre-production, production, post-production) with the aim of creating their own educational video. They will receive formative feedback on their final video.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to:
- choose an appropriate form of educational video and use the following principles;
- prepare the content of the educational video;
- use audio and video technology at an intermediate level;
- create an educational video;
- evaluate your own video creation process.
Syllabus
  • Always in the Audiovisual Studio PdF MU (CVIDOS 4th floor).
  • Basic orientation in the topic: theory of multimedia education and current research results, use of video in teaching and suitable educational forms.
  • Pre-production: assigning a task, choosing a topic, key ideas, forms of an educational video and preparing materials.
  • Production: audio, video technology and its use, practical, own filming.
  • Post-production: basic skills of processing video material and own work.
  • Online consultation: optional consultation during the processing of the final video.
  • Final lesson: presentation of the final project and formative feedback.

Teaching methods
- Regular face-to-face meetings, online consultation.
- independent work in an interactive curriculum.
- Practical examples and exercises, group work and discussion.
- Completion of short tasks leading to the creation of a educational video.
- Formative assessment.
Assessment methods
- Participation in regular face-to-face meetings (minimum attendance is 3 meetings out of 4)
- Colloquium: preparation of the final work, for which formative feedback and group discussion will be provided.
