Prerequisites
The course is destinated for students of art education in bachelor degree programme. The basic knowledges from the field of pedagogy and psychology are needed.

Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following:
- familiarize with basic constructs of art education
- gain the basic knowledges about psychologic roots of childrens plastic expression
- familiarize with main streams in contemporary art education
- gain an owerview about personages of art education theory
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to develop art case reports. The student can compare and define differences in children's artistic expression. It will be oriented in the basic concepts of theory and practice of art education.

Assessment methods
The student develops a reflection of five selected artworks of elementary school pupils or secondary school students in three standart pages of text. The artwork will be presented in the photo documentation.
