- Course objectives
- Playing the piano:
- the objective of the course is to develop students' elementary skills in playing the piano. Students will be able to make intros and codas to songs marked with chord symbols and to play small piano compositions suitable for listening and music-movement activities in kindergarten.
Voice education:
- the main aim is to create a system of skills and habits in singing technique. Methodical basis for pedagogical work with child and adult voice. Part of the singing lessons is instruction on the hygiene of the speaking and singing voice - a healthy and high-quality voice is an important contribution to the future profession of every teacher. - Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students will be able to:
- create a simple accompaniment to songs provided with chord symbols,
- play scales, chord inversions and cadences within commonly used keys,
- play a simple recital composition,
- sing vocal exercises,
- apply theoretical and practical knowledge of singing technique to their repertoire. - Syllabus
- Playing the piano: - Major scales (C, D, E, F, G) and minor harmonic scales (a, d, e) by straight movement or counter-movement (i.e. with both hands) in the range of at least one octave - Major and minor chord inversions / chord triads to the given scales - Major and minor cadences to the given scales - Playing a recital piece from the elementary literature (based on an agreement with the teacher) - Playing a stylized accompaniment of 25 songs with intro and coda (+ singing): 21 songs from the chapter 1.1 of the Dagmar Ryšánková's textbook + 4 children songs from study materials at IS MU, including 2 by Ladislav Němec
- Voice education: - Transposition of various types of voice exercises with own piano accompaniment in diatonic and chromatic modulation - Rehearsing and practical performance of 20 songs (singing songs with piano accompaniment) - Application of acquired singing and technical skills (theoretical and practical) to selected singing literature - Basic knowledge of the speaking and singing voice hygiene
