- Course objectives
- The course aims to strengthen the students' current playing skills while accompanying songs suitable for musical activities in kindergarten, to expand their song repertoire, and to become familiar with the basics of song transposition. Students will further improve their playing of recital compositions.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- create accompaniment to more challenging songs suitable for preschool education;
- create intros, interludes, and codas for songs;
- transpose songs into other keys, taking into account the singing range of preschool children
- combine playing the piano with singing
- play an advanced recital piece for piano - Syllabus
- Playing a stylized accompaniment of 25 songs with an intro, interlude, coda, and singing: - 15 songs from Dagmar Ryšánková's textbook (songs of various nature will be selected by the teacher) - 5 children's songs by Eva Kulhánková - 5 songs of own choice
- Transposition of selected songs into keys corresponding to the singing range of preschool children
- Playing a piano recital composition (according to an agreement with the teacher)
