Course objectives
Main objectives: Detailed explanation of the implementation of the rules for individual activities in the pharmacy.
Theoretical aspects encounter: basic principles of dispensing, ordering, stocking, preparing of medicinal products, quality control, hospital pharmacy, chain pharmacy - specificity, information systems for scientific information and processing data arising from everyday pharmacy practice.
Practical aspects encounter: training in information systems for processing of operational data and searching for professional information for pharmacotherapeutic consultations and health promotion, excursions to the distribution company.
Learning outcomes
Completing the course, the student will be able to: describe the principles of price setting of medicinal products, medical devices and apply these principles in practice;
describe the principles of individual activities of pharmacy practice (dispensing, administrative, control activities);
search for information on medicinal products and medical devices in professional databases;
to design basic methods of communication in pharmacy practice;
actively work in pharmacy and administrative systems;

    7. Information systems in the health-care and pharmacy practice - overview, database: SUKL, EMA, FDA, on-line resources
    8. Information databases in the pharmacy practice (AISLP, Lexicomp)
    9. Mass Communication in Pharmacy Practice Main Specifics, Models and Role of Media. Administration of regional and national public health campaigns, Presentation of public health campaigns. Influence of mass communication on an individual patient.

1. Presence in seminars: 100 %, Absence: max. 2 (declared with medical record), substitution compulsory
2. Pre-credit tests and tasks: min. 70 %
