Course objectives
To get acquainted students with the role of pharmacoeconomics in the public health, pharmacy, hospital pharmacy and pharmaceutical industry.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - be familiar with basic pharmacoeconomic methods and tools and possibly apply them to selected examples - understand the principles of HTA and outcomes research - assess medicines for the possible entry of counterfeits into the market - understand the principles of parallel import

  • - Introduction to the study of pharmacoeconomics, case studies - HTA, outcomes research - Price and reimbursement regulation of medicines - Hospitals´ drug policy and possibilities of its effecting by pharmacist - Innovation as a source of efficiency of the health care system - Business environment in the pharmaceutical industry - Counterfeit medicines, parallel import
