- Course objectives
- The subject builds on the introductory study courses (Proseminar, Introduction to Auxiliary Historical Sciences). In particular it develops practical skills in reading old documents of an official nature. Emphasis is placed not only on the correct reading of texts but also on their correct understanding. The course activities lead students to become independent in interpreting relatively "unreadable" places in texts and learn about the basics of finding the evidential value of official sources. An e-learning course is also available.
