- Course objectives
- Practical hermeneutics. Working (collectively) with different approaches to the text, we will try to testify their suitability and capacity. The text will be always known in advance.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students will be able to:
work with different approaches to the text, assess their suitability, choose separately adequate hermeneutical approach to the text for your interpretation. - Syllabus
- Analysis of the text by means of the categories of space, time, subject, narrative mode, model reader; further, analysis by means of some experimental methods such as deletion or amendment of some parts of the text, also analysis of the cricitical argumentation (literary metatext), analysis of the text via its music and film adaptation. We will try even to analyze a text as a value evidence – is there any possibility to get a clear quality judgement by means of interpretation?
