Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Work in the seminar is based on managed individual, tandem or group writing with the help of stimulation techniques, unblocking techniques and associative techniques (e.g clustering, alphabet, acrostics, automatic writing to a theme).
Upon completing the course, students will be able to make sense of the creative principles of composing complex texts in various genres; understand the different communicative functions of the text and create a successfully communicative text in Czech at C2 level.
Learning outcomes
After completing the subject, the student will be able to:
- use appropriate methods and techniques in the progressive phases of creating an essayistic test;
- use appropriate creative strategies for a standard literary genre;
- imitate the dominant characteristics of texts in various literary genres;
- vary expressional means of various types of text according to the dominant communicative function (autobiographical, essayistic, literary, journalistic).

  • Intertextuality in a literary text.
  • Variation and mixing genres.
  • Variation in the narrative perspective (Jumping to the past – point of view).
  • Clustering in artistic works, ekphrasis.
  • Stories based on a series of photographs.
  • Depiction and reportage.
