Prerequisites
A pre-requisite for this course is a high-school level proficiency (B1) in a tested foreign language.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course aims to evaluate students´ level of language proficiency according to the European framework (CEFR). Based on the test results, a student can make an informed decision about which course to enroll in order to adequatelly prepare for the mandatory language exam.
Learning outcomes
Based on the test results, students will be directed either to a preparatory language course (B1) or an exam course (B2).
Syllabus
  • Students' foreign language proficiency will be tested by means of a standardized test. The test will test the ability to understand text and listening in the foreign language. Testing will be in the following languages - English, French, German and Spanish (Russian by appointment only).

Assessment methods
Evaluation of language profficiency in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The minimum level required is B1.
