- Course objectives
- The goal of the course is to introduce into social ideas of fine art in general. Four lectures on relations among Art, Politics and social justice. Some important figures are presented: e.g. Marx, Lorenzetti, Rowlandson, Goya, Courbet, Picasso, Rivera, Zhdanov. Their importance in terms of social and/or political comment as well as the social and historical context of their production is discussed.
