- The seminar will be focused on reading, and contextual, semantic, ideological, as well as linguistic analysis of selected texts written by Czech film critics, especially since 1945.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, a student will be able to:
- understand importance of domestic film criticism for development of Czech cinema
- distinguish various historical periods in connection with film criticism and history of Czech cinema
- analyse film reviews and other film critical texts
- understand thinking and argumentation of important Czech film critics - Syllabus
