Course objectives
The aim of the course is to focus on the morphological, syntactic and semantic aspects of the verb.
Learning outcomes
The aim is to deepen grammatical reflection on a given subject, in this case the verb.

  • 1. Verb morphology (person marks, tenses, modes, aspects)
  • 2. Verbal syntax (notion of valence).

Teaching methods
Mainly lectures with discussions and group work.
Assessment methods
At the end of the course, students will be asked to make a presentation in pairs or threes on a grammatical aspect or object discussed during the semester. This will then be written up as an essay during the examination period.
