- Course objectives
- The diploma thesis solves a partial professional problem corresponding to the type of study.
- Learning outcomes
- The submission and defence of the master's thesis should demonstrate that the graduate is able to define, critically evaluate and interpret a certain historical topic in written form at a high professional level on the basis of literature and sources and under the professional guidance of the thesis supervisor.
- Syllabus
- The assignment for the Master's thesis should be set when registering for the first diploma seminar, usually at the beginning of the third semester of study. Students may choose the topic of their thesis in agreement with one of the supervising teachers.
- The thesis shall be at least 140 000 characters long. The binding part of the thesis is the title page, which contains the name of the university, faculty, institute, the title of the thesis, the designation of the type of thesis (master's thesis), the name of the author, the supervisor and the year of preparation, the author's declaration of the originality of the thesis, the contents, the list of sources and literature used and the notes. Students publish the thesis by uploading its electronic version to the MUNI IS.
