Course objectives
Student will be able to recognize the structure of critical publicistic texts, will be able to write scholarly, critical text (critical review for example), he/she will be able to work with references, hypertext lins.
Syllabus
  • 1. About critique. General structure of scientific article.
  • 2. How to write a good headline, annotation, perex, appendix. Secondary headlines create thematical structure of an article. 3. Introduction to text structure: theme introduction, text interpretation and analysis, evaluation, conclusion.

Teaching methods
The classes are seminars, where students are introduced into main genres. They analyze sample texts and get feedback on their own writings.
Assessment methods
classified semester paper (8000–10000 characters) 3 homeworks attendance: only 1 authorized absence is allowed. Student has to writte another text (5000 signs).
