Course objectives
The course further develops (contextually or more specifically the point of view) a field of curriculum focusing on the educational aspects of the learning information society. The aim of the course is to provide students with interesting and transdisciplinary themes based on the phenomenon of literacy. Based on critical reading, reflection and work with case studies and sources, students will gain a deeper understanding of the theoretical and application contexts in which we can look at literacy in the field of Information Studies and Librarianship.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course student:
- understand terms that are the educational content of the subject;
- understands the position and importance of literacy in a historical and comparative perspective;
- can search and process information resources dealing with literacy;
- can analytically work with thematic materials;
- is able to conceive a professional text that focuses on literacy with a specific approach and has a publication overlap in the field of practice
