- Course objectives
- Student develops and deepens knowledge of basic grammatical patterns, vocabulary and phraseology of modern spoken Japanese language; he/she is able to actively use the acquired grammar with respect to sociopragmatic factors of the Japanese communication.
- Learning outcomes
- After finishing this course the student is able to:
- form more complicated sentence constructions
- express himself/herself with the use of more advanced morphological means
- comment on situations containing element of benefit in interpersonal relations
- describe Japanese language specifics with respect to counting entities
- conduct interactions in specific situations using Japanese language skills
- read and interpret medium difficult texts in Japanese
- make a presentation on a topic of Japanese language - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- Lecture according to the study materials, with focus on basic syntactic structures and sociopragmatic specifics of the Japanese language. Students also get acquainted with the basic terms of the Japanese linguistics. Additional explanation based on the results of short test is offered during the following lesson. TAs presentation are part of the classes.

- Weekly tests, final written exam. Attendance of at least 70 % of the classes is required.
