- Course objectives
- Students will learn basic grammar of Croatian language in spoken and written form. Students will gain basic knowledge about phonology and morphology of Croatian. At the end of this course, students should be able to use simple sentences in this language and communicate on basic topics of everyday life.
- Learning outcomes
- Absolvent will be able to communicate in Croatian at a level correspondent to 48 hours of language course.

- Teaching methods
- The course makes use of many various didactic methods and teaching is based on active involvement of students and their cooperation with teacher. The lessons consist of teacher´s explanations, students´ own work (individual as well as a group one), grammar, conversation and listening exercises, games etc. There are also authentic Croatian materials used in the course, by means of which students get knowledge of Croatian area studies.
- Assessment methods
- Credit will begiven based on successful written test in that grammar, vocabulary and basic translation ability (from and to Croatian) will be tested. Oral exam will continue after absolving the written test. Students will need to prove their ability to express themselves in dialogues with lecturer or with other students. Topics of these discussions will be selected from the topics discussed in seminaries.
