- Course objectives
- The B.A. state exam consists of a written and an oral part. Students take both parts in the same examination period. The exam begins with the written part. The dates of the B.A. state exam (usually one in the autumn term and two in the spring term) are announced by the head of the Department of Classical Studies on the notice board and on the website so that students could sign up in advance.
- Learning outcomes
- Follolwing the successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- identify the most important exponents of the history of Greek;
literature from Homer to the Hellenistic times and to describe their works;
- describe the normative grammar of the Attic dialect of Ancient Greek;
- translate Greek texts written in the Attic dialect;
- write a scholarly text in the field of Greek classical philology. - Syllabus
