- Course objectives
- One semester course. The course is an introduction to the study of Chinese language, culture, geography, etnography, society, and politics. The students gain knowledge of key facts of Chinese culture.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand and interpret basic realia necessary for culture oriented study of China
- actively apply Czech and English transcriptions;
- interpret the knowledge of basic realia of Chinese culture - Syllabus

- 3) China and the West, images of China in the West
- 4) Cultural Anthropology of China
- 5) The Communist Party of China, Chinese Marxism
