Course objectives
After consultations with their supervisors the student choses the topic of their master thesis.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to independently identify and analyse research topic. Secondly, they should be able to find, analyse and compare primary sources and secondary scholarship on a given topic and expertly judge suitably methodological approaches to the given problem.

Assessment methods
Students are required to:
(a) find a master's thesis supervisor,
(b) identify a thesis topic,
(c) obtain the supervisor's approval of the thesis topic and write a thesis proposal.
