Course objectives
The course aims to provide the students with a basic insight into the field of contact linguistics with a special focus on contact languages. The primarily general-linguistics-oriented lectures will also offer a deeper dive into selected representants of subcategories of contact languages. The main objective of the course is to get to understand the contact languages, their distribution and circumstances of their genesis.
