Course objectives
The aim is try to prepare and make some exhibition. Students prepare exhibition in this semester, and will realize in next semestr.
Create exhibition in some Brno's museum.
Understand preparing and making of museum exhibition.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - fully participate in the museum exhibition practice
- carry out their own thematic research in memory institutions
- identify the basic key topics of the exhibition project

  • Entering the topic of the exhibition
  • Preparatory process: research in memory institutions according to the chosen topic, archives, museums, libraries
  • Definition of visitor groups, determination of the mission of the exhibition
  • Thematic division of issues, preparation of thematic units of the exhibition
  • Design of a selection of exhibits and other material
  • Substitute vs. authentic original in the exhibition
  • Thematic accompanying programs - proposals
  • Exhibition budget, management
  • Definition of thematic units of the exhibition
  • Technical prerequisites and space
  • Elaboration of the basic theme of the exhibition
  • Defining proposals for handicaps
