- Course objectives
- The set of lectures and seminars deals with theory and practice of work with qualitative data. It is not only a systematic introduction to various methodological approaches. Proceedings of qualitative analysis and interpretation will be rather discussed from a perspective of a scholar treating a concrete qualitative project. A special focus is on interconnection of theoretical issues and analytical skills. The course will be based on using actual qualitative data sets and qualitative analysis programme ATLAS, its mastering is one of the course aims. After finishing the course, students are able to: demonstrate the practice of work with qualitative data.

- Students completing the course will be able to design the project and explain the methods of processing the project.

- The course is taught as both lectures and seminars. Group work is common as well as essay-writing. Students are encouraged to ask questions about things they do not understand and comment on things they disagree with.
