- Course objectives
- Aim is to inform students with the basic legal concepts,with the selected branches of law. Informing students about institutions applying the law (public governance, justice, public prosecutor). Obtain information about leagal services organization (advocacy, notary public).Students will receive practical knowledge for solutions to common legal problems.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - orient oneself in basic terminology of labour law, school legislation - orient oneself in employment legislation - identify problematic aspects of a job interview - orient oneself in anti-discrimination law
- Syllabus
- 1. Sources of law (legislation-constitution, laws, sub-statutory acts of hierarchy, internal guidelines, law, legislation) 2. Forms of realization of the right (the exercise of rights, abuse of law, legal relations, legal acts, formalities of legal acts invalid) 3. Bonds, purchase, lease, contract for work, enforcement of contracts 4. Establishment of employment, employment contract requirements 5. Duration of employment 6. Termination of employment 7. Occupational safety, occupational injuries 8. The application and interpretation of law 9. Legal liability-forms of mens rea (subjective and objective) 10. Principles of taxation process, business tax, deadlines, remedies.
