Course objectives
The course is aimed at developing the ability of mentor teachers to support student teachers in effective classroom questioning. Participants will deepen their understanding of the role questions play in the learning process, learn to analyze the questions posed by student teachers, and provide them with constructive feedback.
Learning outcomes
Participants understand the role that the form of questions students answer during lessons plays in the learning process.
Participants are able to evaluate the types of questions student teachers ask during their teaching practice.
Participants are able to provide student teachers with feedback on the types of questions they pose to students.
Syllabus
  • How to support pupils in the learning process: theoretical introduction
  • Analysis of sample questions
  • Analysis of classroom interaction transcripts and practice in providing feedback
Teaching methods
Lecture, transcript analysis, discussion, sharing of good practice, group work
Assessment methods
Verifying the identification of question types using the Kahoot app Evaluation of group work products through product analysis and collective feedback
