Course objectives
Readings from the works of 20th and 21st century Brazilian authors from different regions of the country and dealing with different literary genres. Work with texts, commentary, analysis, historical and social contextualization. Independent reading, preparation of papers and discussion are expected.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the student will be able to analyse various literary works and put them into context.

  • Authors of the Northeast dealing with social and regional issues, authors of the Southeast and their urban prose, modernist and postmodern prose.
