- This course is primarily intended for students of Translatology of German Language. In case there are some free places, this course can also be attended by students of other subjects. The prerequisite is a very good knowledge of Czech and German languages.

- Translation of German (programme FF, N-PMEJ_)
- Course objectives
- In this seminar we will focus on the translation of journalistic texts with a focus on economy. Apart from making own translations, the students learn to evaluate other versions of translations and they also learn how to analyze mistakes in translations. In this course we will concentrate on the extension of vocabulary – topics: administration, office, management, work, accountancy, company, money. At the end of the term the acquired knowledge will be evaluated with a written test.
- Learning outcomes
- The acquired competencies will be checked by the midterm test and the final translation, which does not limit online resources, but requires a swift translating and understanding of the more complex text on the topics discussed in this semester.
