Course objectives
The aim of the course is to improve the language competences and communication skills of Russian language teachers at primary and secondary schools. The expansion of language abilities and consolidation of the speaking skills and habits of the participants will be achieved by choosing current topics from the field of contemporary intercultural communication through activating teaching methods. Part of the course will also be a follow-up to the methodological support of teaching Russian in primary and secondary schools.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the attendee will be able to:
- use the studied vocabulary stylistically and grammatically correctly in specific speech situations;
- respond spontaneously and adequately in the target language to speech situations containing thematically organized units;
- reflect on ways and methods of interactive work with teaching material, share examples of good practice.
Among other things, the course serves as support for accompanying teachers.

  • 1. Storytelling in Russian language lessons (story cards).
  • 2. "Fig with butter", or Non-verbal means of communication.
  • 3. Infographics in Russian language lessons.
  • 4. Speech stereotypes and working with them in Russian language lessons.

Assessment methods
In order to successfully complete the course, it is necessary to attend at least 3 of the 4 seminars/meetings and pass the final interview on the topics covered. The course also includes partial independent home preparation and its control in the form of continuous oral and written testing and a final written test.
