- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is a mock defence of the Ph.D. thesis and finishing and submiting the final text. The doctoral student receives and considers feedback from his/her supervisor and a peer concerning the advanced draft of the dissertation.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- consider and address feedback on their own text;
- revise or support arguments which were questioned by reviewers of an academic text.
- Syllabus
- Feedback from written feedback from the supervisor and one further reviewer.
- Participation in a mock defence of the Ph.D. thesis (on-site or online, with the presence of the supervisor and further reviewer).
- Consideration of the relevant feedback.
- Corrections and revisions of the thesis.
- Finishing the thesis.
