- Course objectives
- Language exercises are focused on the vocabulary building, improvement of communication and expression abilities in the field of Russian realia (music, painting, architecture). Special attention is paid to explaining the lexical and syntactic compatibility of Russian prefixed verbs; the relations between syntactic compatibility of the word and its semantic structure; the identification of implicit semantic components. The language material of certain exercises is methodically arranged according to increasing complexity: the explanation of the meaning, the multiple choice, understanding of stylistic applicability, problematic syntactical verb patterns. The exercises are further focused on problematic synonym verbs from the translation point of view; combinatorial possibilities of verbs; choosing the stylistically correct equivalent when translating. It is expected to further develop students’ communicative abilities in Russian, focusing on overcoming the obstacles imposed by Czech-Russian interference in grammar and lexical field. The language practice includes the knowledge of Russian cultural realia, reading, interpretation, and translation of original Russian imaginative literature and specific texts.
