Course objectives
The student is admitted to the bachelor's examination after submitting the bachelor's thesis. The examination begins with a defence of the thesis and then focuses on establishing knowledge of the historical and systematic issues of aesthetics and the various types of art as examined by specific art disciplines. The ability to look for connections between phenomena and developmental tendencies across different spheres of art and culture is to be demonstrated.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the state bachelor's examination, the student will be, or should be, able to pursue a profession that corresponds to the focus of the study programme, or to continue his/her studies at an appropriate follow-up master's degree.

Teaching methods
oral debate, which may be preceded by a written test on a PC
Assessment methods
The examination board assesses the level of knowledge, the readiness to interpret works of art in different contexts and the ability to respond adequately to questions and comments.
