Course objectives
The aim of the course is to prepare students for practical interpreting between Czech and Czech Sign Language and to improve their ability of intralngual congenial processing.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to activate his / her own vocabulary before interpreting performance, he will know how to train memory to improve his / her interpreting competence, how to analyze the text to be able correctly translate it into the target language. He will also know how to deal with errors occuring during interpreting setting.
Syllabus
  • 1. Memory and forgetting.
  • 2. Vocabulary and memory training.
  • 3. Analysis and interpretation of the source message.
  • 4. Ability to perform multiple tasks in the same time.
  • 5. Current speach content predicting.
  • 6. Kinds of interpreting errors and ways of correcting them.
  • 7. Shadowing.
