Course objectives
The course focuses on the introduction and orientation of students of the theory of interactive media with contemporary art production in the new media environment. It emphasizes current events in the presentation of new media art in the local environment. The course provides a space for dialogue and interpretation of contemporary new media art and the possibility of realizing an exhibition of new media art within the course.
Learning outcomes
The aim is to develop a lasting interest in current art events in the new media environment, based on its deeper understanding and experience.
Syllabus
  • • 1) Introductory lesson: Course content, requirements for completion
  • • 2) Let's make an exhibition! (concept, starting points) Discussion with the student body on the topic of the semester exhibition (proposals, division of roles, sharing and verification of understanding of the assignment). Introduction to the issues of the future visited exhibition
  • • 3) Visit and guided tour of a selected new media art exhibition.
  • • 4) Lecture Digital art and gallery practice. Discussion on the emerging student exhibition.
  • • 5) Visit and guided tour of a selected new media art exhibition.
  • • 6) Lecture Transforming curation (1/2). Discussion on the emerging student exhibition.
  • • 7) Visit and guided tour of a selected new media art exhibition.
  • • 8) Lecture Transformation of curation (2/2). Discussion on the emerging student exhibition.
  • • 9) Visit and guided tour of a selected new media art exhibition.
  • • 10) Lecture Exhibition strategies for digital art.
