Četba a překlad filozoficko-teologického spisu A. M. Severina Boethia De consolatione philosophiae. Boethiova Consolatio je výkladem akademické a peripatetické filozofie v prozimetrické formě a představuje pozdně antickou transformaci filosofických názorů starověku. Podstatný význam má její "druhý život" ve středověku a novověku.
Četba a překlad, výklad morfologických, syntaktických, stylistických a sémantických jevů, Boethiova metrika. Věcná interpretace.
Výklad učitele a referáty posluchačů: Boethiova osobnost a jeho dílo literární a filozofické. -- Latinská kultura na přelomu 5./6. stol. -- Platonismus a novoplatonismus. -- Textová tradice Consolatio, textověkritické problémy. -- Boethius v křesťanské literární a teologické tradici.
