Prerequisites
Requirements: Basic PC skills, working with MS WORD and attendance of lectures. The presentations of computerized systems are not repeated in seminars.

Course objectives
Legal Informatics II (legal information systems) introduces students to the theoretical basis, the content and methods of searching on the Internet and in automatized systems with information on Czech and European law.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Úvod do právní informatiky, obecné pojmy z teorie práva. Historie právních informačních systémů (PIS) u nás i ve světě. Právní texty a právní dokumenty. České právo a publikační platformy současné i historické. Obsah PIS, obecné podmínky pro vyhledávání a podmínky pro zadávání konkrétního dotazu. Fulltextové vyhledávání. Práce s nalezenými dokumenty, vztahy mezi dokumenty, hypertext. Další možnosti PIS, tiskové výstupy. Další zdroje informací o právu a pro právníky - zejména na internetu. Kompletní prezentace velkých informačních systémů - ASPI, LexDATA, LEGSYS Galaxy a CELEX a ukázka dalších systémů (Konzultant, EPIS, PRÁVNÍinfoDISK...) Knihovní zákon, svobodný přístup k informacím, informační systémy veřejné správy, autorská práva v knihovnické praxi, ochrana osobních údajů, periodické a neperiodické publikace.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Přednášky s počítačovou prezentací. Podmínkou k udělení zápočtu je samostatná příprava a sestavení rešerše na zvolené téma s využitím právních informačních systémů.
