Course objectives
Dutch painting of the 17th century.
Syllabus
  • Introduction into Dutch painting of the 17th century. Themes: major specialisations of the baroque painting, themes and concepts of the baroque painting (frescos, altar and easel paintings, preliminary works, ephmer decorations, concettismo, theory of decorum, ilusionismus) social backround (educations and social position of the painters, painter and patron of arts); introduction into the oeuvre of Rembrandt, Hals, Vermeer and others.
