Course objectives: This seminar is focused on analysis of selected films from India, Islamic countries, Israel and the Subsaharian Africa. We will study their cultural specifics, reflections of social, ethnic and politic problems and questions of gender. Literature: topic-based. Films: to be specified.
Assessment methods (in Czech): Výuka probíhá jako cyklus filmových projekcí (VHS, DVD, výimečně 35 mm) v kinosále FF, podle potřeby též v NFA v Praze. Zápočet: Úvod k filmu, tlumočení filmu z podtitulků (francouzština, němčina), referát nebo esej.
