Course objectives (in Czech)
Předmět bude zaměřen na problematiku společenské role religionistiky a jejího ideologického zneužívání od doby vzniku této disciplíny v 2. polovině 19. století. Vedle teologizujích interpretací bude pozornost věnována roli religionistiky při expanzi evropského kolonialismu či pojetí religionistiky jako platformy pro polemiku s náboženstvím jakožto ideologickým systémem. Na druhou stranu bude předmět zaměřen i na možnosti religionistky a její roli při interkulturním vzdělávání, odhalování jinakosti a interkulturním dialogu.
