Course objectives
Contrastive comparison of the means of expression in Czech and Latin of the Classical Period; analysis of examples from various types of Latin texts documenting (a) social and functional differentiation in ancient Latin and (b) the chronological development of the literary language in antiquity with a view to later periods.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Podmínkou pro udělení kolokvia je test z latinské frazeologie a překlad českého textu do latiny. Dále by měl student přednést referát stylisticky rozebírající zadanou varietu latinského jazyka. Téma zadává vyučující, referát se odevzdává i písemně.
