Course objectives
The subject concerns the basic issues of psychology of handicapped people and pays attention to children and youth living in Home for handicapped youth. Understanding the ways of thinking and feeling of handicapped person, principles of effective communication and sensible approach to those people are the main points of the subject. The cases and practical experience are also submitted. The practical use of theoretical information and gained skills in practice are trained and tested during the trainee-ship in Home for physically handicapped youth in Brno.

  • 1. Historicky podmíněné změny v přístupu společnosti k různým postižením 2. Vznik a rozvoj ústavní péče o těl. postiženou mládež v ČR 3. Přehled základních typů tělesného postižení a jejich etiopatogeneze 4. Dětská mozková obrna (DMO) - klasifikace, diagnostika, rehabilitace 5. Vliv postižení na psychický vývoj a formování osobnosti dítěte 6. Psychický vývoj postiž. dítěte v předškolním věku 7. Psychický vývoj postiž. dítěte ve školním věku 8. Socializace a integrace postiženého dítěte. Efektivní komunikace. 9. Otázky psychické deprivace těl. postižených dětí v ústavní péči 10. Význam původní rodiny a rodičovských postojů 11. Puberta a dospívání tělesně postižených 12. Životní perspektivy osob s fyzickým handicapem 13. Možnosti psychoterapie těl. postižených dětí a mládeže

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Závěrečné hodnocení se koná formou kolokvia, k němuž si studenti připraví krátký příspěvek shrnující jejich zkušenosti a postřehy z návštěvy v Ústavu pro těl. postiženou mládež v Brně. Požadavky pro studenty denního i kombinovaného studia jsou shodné.
