Assessment of this course will be by two major assignments and some short tests (terminology). Some specific discussion forums based on the reading material will also be assessed.

I am, technically speaking, a research assistant in the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University. My main area of interest here is the application of corpus linguistics to foreign language learning, and I also work on the use of computers in language teaching in general, and on e-learning. I have been in this faculty for about five years and before that almost four years in the English Department of the Faculty of Education (MU).
