- Course objectives
- Acquaint students with major periods of development of Czechoslovak Republic in years from 1918 to1938 (1945-1968) has been the major goal of the course History of Czechoslovak Republic in 20th century. Founding of independent state in October 1918, principal problems in policy, problems of nationhood, economic problems, foreign policy and her relationships. Munich Agreement of 1938, the “second Republic” (“rump” Czechoslovakia), occupation, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and the puppet Slovak State. Communist Czechoslovakia after communist coup d'état in February 1948. The Prague Spring 1968, civil society and normalizing.
