Linguistic competence level at the end of the course (I, II, III, i.e. after three semesters): C2. At the end of the Normative Grammar of Italian (Part III), the student should be able to understand - in detail on the synchronical level, and at least partly on the diachronical level – all the (mainly) morphological problems related to adverbs, prepositions and interjections, and should be able to apply this knowledge both to the practical use of the Italian language as well as to its theoretical description. He should also have basic knowledge of the main lexicological and lexicographical issues in modern Italian.
- Syllabus
- The theoretical part of the course in Normative Grammar of Italian (Part III) focuses above all on a detailed description of the remaining word categories; the grammatical phenomena are illustrated by original texts. In the practical part of the course, various exercises and analysis of Italian literary texts lead the students to a better understanding of phonological, morphological and syntactical problems of the contemporary Italian language.
