Course objectives
The aim of the course is to develop and apply students knowledge in the field of theoretical museology. Basic themes of the course are development of museological thinking, museum professional institutions, understanding and conception of museum and several partial museological problems (museum education, museum documentation).
Syllabus
  • Basic terminology and its use in practical museum work; terminology and foreign languages.
  • Museum and its role in society.
  • Practical application of subject matter from - Introduction to museology, General history of museums, Museum management.
