Course objectives
System of persian grammar. Briefly summary - skills of writing and reading; mostly verbs and nouns; choice of basic vocabulary. At the end of this course, students should be able to: to write and read in farsi;
to understand the basis of Persian grammar;
to use the basic vocabulary;

  • Persian consonants, vowels, apphabet. Vocabulary /basic greetings/, writing and reading practice. Syllabe structure, word structure, word stress. Vocabulary /basic personal names/, writing and reading practice. Gender, simple present, negation, interrogation, intonation. Demonstrative pronouns and adjectives. Simple present to have. Numerals. Genetive "Ezafe". Vocabulary /proper names/, writing and reading practice. The present indicative. Vocabulary /days of week/ writing and reading practice. Negative Infinitive. Vocabulary /antonyms/ writing and reading practice. The three calendars. Plural of nouns. Arabic plurals. Vocabulary practice. Imperative, negative imperative. Vocabulary practice. The simple past. Question words. Vocabulary practice. Adjectives. (Comparative adjectives.) Expressions of surprise. Conjunctios. Vocabulary, writing and reading practice. Present progressive. Vocabulary, writing and reading practice. The future.Vocabulary, writing and reading practice. Conditional sentences.
