Course objectives
Beginning course of 2-4 semesters long course of Sanskrit. Main goals are to teach student read and write in devanagari script, to know the phonology of Sanskrit with sandhi, the declination of a, á, i, í, u, ú nouns, thematic verbs in indicative, imperative and optative
Syllabus
  • 1. lesson - writing, ligatures, deklination of a-stems m. and n. 2. lesson - conjugation of thematic verbs in indicative of present - active 3. lesson - conjugation of thematic verbs of indicative of present - middle 4. lesson - conjugation of thematic verbs of imperfect active 5. lesson - conjugation of thematic verbs of imperfect middle 6. lesson - conjugation of pasive 7. lesson - declination of vowel stems(i a u- stems) 8. lesson - sandhi 9. lesson - conjugation of imperative akt. and mid. 10. lesson - conjugation of optativu akt. and mid. 11. lesson - declination of vowel stems(í a ú- stems) 12. lesson - causative
